P-Nats Postponed in Frederick Finale
August 22, 2019 - Carolina League (CarL1)
Potomac Nationals News Release
Frederick, MD - The Potomac Nationals (30-28, 60-65) and Frederick Keys (21-34, 50-74) were foiled by weather in their series finale on Thursday night, as rain and wet conditions forced a postponement.
The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Saturday, August 31 when the P-Nats return to Frederick for their final regular season series. First pitch of game one will be scheduled for 4:00 p.m., with game two to follow.
Steady rain gave way to a manageable sprinkle after the scheduled first pitch, but the continued threat of severe weather throughout the evening prompted the game's postponement. The P-Nats leave Frederick with a win and a loss in an abridged two-game series, and finish their road trip with a 2-3 record.
The P-Nats return home on Friday to take on the Winston-Salem Dash in their final regular season homestand. First pitch at Northwest Federal Field is set for 7:05 pm, with the P-Nats Leadoff Show starting at 6:50. Fans can listen to the Potomac broadcast at potomacnationals.com or on the TuneIn Radio App.
