
P-Bruins' winning streak comes to an end

The Providence Bruins saw their season-high five-game winning streak come to an end on Sunday afternoon at the Dunkin' Donuts Center Providence, as they fell, 2-0 to the Portland Pirates. The Bruins are now 28-21-10-3 (69 points), putting them in a tie with the Worcester IceCats for third place in the tightly-contested Atlantic Division. Both clubs are just two points behind the Manchester Monarchs.
Bruin goaltender Tim Thomas stopped 23 shots and is 14-11-5 on the season.
The Bruins visit the Bridgeport Sound Tigers on Wednesday night at 7:05 p.m. Catch all the action live on WDDZ AM-550. The Bruins return home to host the Philadelphia Phantoms on Friday, March 12 at 7:05 p.m. They also host the Worcester IceCats on Sunday, March 14 at 4:05 p.m.
