
Ducks down Barons 4-1 to end winless streak

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Ilya Bryzgalov made 28 saves to lead the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks over the Cleveland Barons, 4-1, Sunday at Gund Arena.
Igor Pohanka, Casey Hankinson and Stanislav Chistov each had a goal and an assist for the Ducks, who snapped a four-game losing and seven-game winless streak (0-6-1-0).
Chris Armstrong and Mike Mottau each chipped in with a pair of assists for Cincinnati, which improved to 22-2-3-1 in games in which they score three or more goals.
Bryzgalov, a second-round pick by Anaheim in 2000, stopped 19 shots over the final two periods en route to his 21st victory of the season.
Jon DiSalvatore scored for Cleveland, which is winless in its last four games (0-2-0-2).
Dmitri Patzold surrendered three goals on 12 shots before being pulled in favor of Nolan Schaefer in the second period.
The Ducks play the third game of a six-game, five-team, 12-day road trip Wednesday at Utah.
