Bulldogs now unbeaten in four

CHICAGO, IL - For the second consecutive night, the Hamilton Bulldogs erased a two-goal deficit, as they came from behind to defeat the Chicago Wolves 5-3 in front of 14,112 fans at the Allstate Arena on Saturday. The Bulldogs are now unbeaten in the past four games with a record of (3-0-1-0).

The Wolves took a 2-0 first period lead on Saturday with goals from Tommi Santala and Eric Healey.

Hamilton's Marcel Hossa made it 2-1 before the end of the first period at 14:31 with his 14th goal of the season.

The Wolves' Healey scored the only goal of the second period, his second of the game, to give Chicago a 3-1 lead.

Hamilton would win the game 5-3, by scoring four unanswered goals in the third period. Earning goals for the Bulldogs were Gordie Dwyer, Chris Higgins, Eero Somervuori and Alexander Perezhogin.

The Bulldogs Ron Hainsey, Patrick Traverse and Tomas Plekanec each earned two assists in the contest.

As well, the Bulldogs picked up their 500th power play goal of all-time, when Eero Somervuori scored in third period.

Bulldogs goaltender Jean-Francois Damphousse picked up his third consecutive win by making 24 saves. The Wolves goaltending duties were split by Michael Garnett (27 shots, 24 saves) and Kari Lehtonen (7 shots, 5 saves).

Saturday's contest marked the Bulldogs first ever game played in Chicago.

The Hamilton Bulldogs next action will take place on Sunday, as the Bulldogs will face the Chicago Wolves in a re-match at the Allstate Arena.
