
P-Bruins Host Lowell and Bridgeport this Weekend

The Providence Bruins will host home games against the Lowell Lock Monsters and Bridgeport Sound Tigers on Friday and Saturday night, respectively. Both games get underway at 7:05 p.m. The Bruins wrap up their third consecutive three-game weekend on Sunday afternoon at 5:05 p.m., when they visit the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. Head coach Scott Gordon's club is tied for fourth place in the Atlantic Division with its 4-4-2-0 record (10 points).
Two centers added to the Black and Gold's lineup last weekend will make their home debuts on Friday. Ted Donato, a veteran of 740 career NHL games, had a goal and an assist in two games last weekend. The 34-year-old native of Boston signed with the Bruins, the team that drafted him in 1987, on July 22. He played in seven games this season with Boston before being reassigned to Providence last Friday. Andre Savage, a member of the P-Bruins' 1999 Calder Cup championship team, was acquired on loan from the Philadelphia Phantoms on October 29. He had one assist in three games last weekend, and ranks 11th on the P-Bruins' career scoring list with 55-75-130 totals in 131 games.
