Owlz Fall in Game 3 in Fourth Straight Loss

OGDEN- The Orem Owlz (13-16, 37-30) entered Game 3 of 4 vs the Ogden Raptors (20-9, 39-28) on a three long losing streak. On Sunday afternoon the Owlz were looking to snap that losing streak against one the hottest team in the Pioneer League who entered with a four game winning streak, but when the night came to a close the Raptors were kept their streak alive as the defeated the Owlz 10-5 on Sunday afternoon at Lindquist Field.

In the first inning of play the Owlz saw their 1-2-3 order go three up, three down to start things up in the first inning of play, in the bottom inning, the Raptors scored two runs which included a home run by the home team to put the Owlz in a 2-0 hole after one inning of play.

The Raptors weren't done adding runs on the night as in the third inning they were able to extend their lead to 3-0 after Gage Green hit his fourth home run of the year to put the Raptors on top 3-0.

Despite being down three runs the ball game, Orem struck back in the fifth inning as Kenny Towns hit a single to send Juan Moreno home for the first run of the night to cut the lead to 3-1. Despite building a bit of momentum the Raptors took the three run lead back in the bottom of the inning.

Jared Foster hit a home run in the seventh to make it yet again a three run game, but the Raptors scored the final two runs on the night to secure the win and drop Orem to their fourth straight loss in a row.

Tomorrow night the Owlz will look to bounce back as the I-15 rivalry will come to an end in the regular season as the Owlz will look to not only end their four game losing streak, but even up the 16 season series at 8.
