
Owens Recalled to Chicago

FORT MILL, S.C. - June 1, 2007 - The Chicago White Sox have recalled outfielder Jerry Owens from the Charlotte Knights. The move was made possible when White Sox outfielder Darren Erstad went down with a left ankle injury in Thursday's game against Toronto.
Owens has appeared in 48 games with the Knights this season. He is batting .305 with 2 HR, 16 RBI and 23 stolen bases-good for 2nd in the International League this season. In his last 10 games, Owens is batting .400 going 16-40 with 2 HR and 7 RBI.
The White Sox also optioned outfielder Jason Bourgeois from Double-A Birmingham to Charlotte. In 43 games with the Barons, Bourgeois is hitting .296, with 2 HR, 20 RBI and 15 SB.
