Braves Batter Lynx

June 1, 2007 - International League (IL1)
Ottawa Lynx News Release

The Braves jumped on Lynx starter Zack Segovia early, scoring single runs in both the first and second inning and two more in the top of the third. The Lynx bounced back with two runs of their own in the bottom of the third. Carlos Leon reached on an error and moved to second base on Chris Roberson's single before both runners were cashed in by Jim Rushford's 2-RBI double, cutting the lead to 4-2.

Richmond got those runs back in the top of the fourth, re-establishing a four-run lead before the Lynx cut into the deficit again with a run in the bottom of the frame. Pedro Swann blasted his first home run of the season, and just the Lynx second home run in Lynx Stadium this season, to make the score 6-3. But the Lynx offence wouldn't score again and Richmond would tack on another six runs en route to a 12-3 win over their hosts from the Nation's Capital.
