San Jose Earthquakes News Release
SAN JOSE, Calif. - The San Jose Earthquakes have sold over 40,000 tickets to the California Clasico against the LA Galaxy at Stanford Stadium on Saturday, June 27, presented by PG&E. The match starts at 7:30 p.m. and will be broadcast live on Comcast SportsNet California, 1590 KLIV and 1370 KZSF. The event has sold out each of the last three years with crowds of over 50,000.
Fans can still take advantage of several special offers for the match. The club has a Family Four Pack that offers upper level tickets at a 25% discount with a minimum of four tickets purchased, starting at $20 each. To purchase the package, click here.
"The California Clasico at Stanford Stadium will once again be one of Major League Soccer's highest attended games this year," said Earthquakes President Dave Kaval. "The event, including the biggest fireworks show in the Bay Area, has become a can't-miss experience and we are looking forward to another great match against our Southern California rivals."
To celebrate women's soccer as the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup is being played, the Quakes will have a special halftime show honoring important figures in professional women's soccer from the Bay Area and around the country. The halftime will also feature members of the United States National Team that won the 1999 FIFA Women's World Cup. The U.S. defeated Brazil 2-0 in the semifinals of that tournament at Stanford Stadium.
The club will also honor members of each of the five branches of the United States Armed Forces as part of a grand Independence Day celebration. The Quakes donated over 4,000 tickets to troops and their families to attend the match. Members of the military will participate in the pregame rally tunnel as the players take the field.
Following the match, the Earthquakes will treat fans to the largest fireworks show in the Bay Area, courtesy of Pyro Spectaculars by Souza, Inc.
