Orlando City Foundation to Provide Additional Mini Pitches with Robust Donation

Orlando City SC News Release
ORLANDO - June 8, 2015 - Orlando City Foundation receives $100,000 donation from the Isaacs Family Trust to support the addition of three mini pitches in the City of Orlando, the Club announced today.
"My family has a longstanding relationship with Orlando City, and were interested in supporting their initiatives in the community," said Steve Isaacs, the executor of the trust. "We were especially excited to learn all proceeds will benefit children in underprivileged areas. As a father of two kids myself, I couldn't ask for more."
During the Club's inaugural Major League Soccer (MLS) kick-off week, Orlando City Foundation, in partnership with MLS WORKS and the U.S. Soccer Foundation, opened its first Futsal court (now known as a mini pitch) at the John H. Jackson Community Center in Parramore. The mini pitch supports Soccer for Success, a free after-school program provided by the U.S. Soccer Foundation starting this month.
"The Issacs have given our community more opportunities to help kids develop a passion for soccer, as well as a place to learn the importance of maintaining active and healthy lifestyles," said Kay Rawlins, Orlando City Foundation president and director of community relations. "Mini pitches are great for inner cities like ours with minimal space to create traditional soccer fields."
The Orlando City Foundation is working with local community leaders to identify locations for the pitches throughout greater Orlando.
