LOVES PARK - The Aviators fell to the Evansville Otters for the 2nd consecutive night at Aviators Stadium Wednesday, going down by a final of 4-3. A late homerun delivered the game to the visiting Otters, who sent the Aviators to their 5th straight loss.

The Aves got out to an early lead on an RBI base hit by Devon Rodriguez that brought in Michael Hur. The RBI was Rodriguez's 35th of the season.

The Otters tagged Rockford starter for 3 runs over the first 3 innings, but Rizzotti, who struck out a season-high 8, settled down after that, allowing 0 runs and 2 hits from the 4th to the 7th. He would get a no-decision.

Trailing 3-1, the Aviators tied the game in the 6th on a leadoff HR by Robinson and a sacrifice fly by Elijah Trail. The blast was the 4th of the season for Robinson, who now has 4 extra base hits in the series.

The game remained tied until the 9th, when Kurt Wertz, Jr. took Matt Frahm for a solo homerun to left to make it 4-3. It was the 2nd homer of the game for Wertz and just the 2nd HR that Frahm has surrendered all season.

The two teams meet again tomorrow for the series finale at Aviators Stadium. Start time is set for 6:35. Kyle Hassna is expected to start for the Aviators.
