Otters Shut Down By Thunderbolts

Evansville, IN - The Otters were shut out tonight by Windy City (57-25) for the second time in the series, and the eighth time this season by a final score of 3-0.

This game was scoreless through the first five innings, but in the sixth, with two outs, starter Jimmy Conroy (8-8) ran into some trouble. Four hits and a walk plated three runs for the 'Bolts who got a quality start from Eric Fussell (10-2) for his tenth win of the season.

Evansville (31-51) has now lost six straight games for the third time this season and are now officially eliminated from playoff contention.

The Otters will continue their home stand tomorrow night when they welcome in the Rockford RiverHawks for a three game set at Bosse Field. Game time is slated for 7:05.
