Otters Seek Series Win on Splash Day at Windy City

(CRESTWOOD, ILLINOIS) - The Evansville Otters (32-21) play a special splash day game at the Windy City Thunderbolts (19-35) on Tuesday morning.

First pitch is set for 10:35 am CDT at Standard Bank Stadium in Crestwood, Illinois.

Fans not going to the game can listen live on WUEV 91.5 FM and WUEV.org . Play by play announcer Mike Radomski will have the call beginning at 10:15 pm CDT.

Evansville will have righty Taylor Dennis (0-1, 6.32 ERA) on the mound against Windy City right-hander Tad Barton (0-1, 5.78 ERA).

Evansville is 30-39 all-time against the Windy City Thunderbolts. This is the second of six meetings between the two teams this season. The Thunderbolts will visit Evansville August 27 and 28th for a three game series.

The Otters won the series opener 2-0 on Monday night. RHP Trevor Walch threw 7.0 scoreless innings for the win, running his scoreless innings streak to 19. Designated hitter Jeremy Nowak recorded all the RBIs for Evansville, homering in the fifth and collecting an RBI double in the ninth.

The Otters had three players in the Frontier League All-Star game on Wednesday. 3B Shayne Houck started the contest going 2-for-2. Nik Balog pinch hit and played first base, going 0-for-1 with a walk. Josh Allen finished the night 0-for-2 as a defensive replacement and second baseman.

Houck is on a seven-game hitting streak entering Wednesday night's game.

The Otters are 13-9 on the road this season and 3-1 in day games in 2014.
