Evansville Otters News Release
Chillicothe, OHâ Dustin Brisson's double in the sixth inning broke a scoreless tie as the Chillicothe Paints beat the Evansville Otters 3-0.
Both starters pitched well into the sixth. Otters' starter Scott Barber allowed just two hits through five and got the first two outs of the innings before Mark Hamilton singled. Finally, Beau Blacken doubled, plating Cosentino to give the Paints their three runs.
Josh Rahrer made sure it would old up as he went 8.1 innings allowing just six singles to Evansville hitters, walking three and striking out a season high seven. Ramon Royce came in to get the final two outs for his seventh save.
Following a league-wide off day on Monday, the Otters travel to Colombia, MO to take on the Mid-Missouri Mavericks. Jeremy Lewis will start game one of the series for the Otters on Tuesday.
