The Otters scored all of their runs in the first three frames of the ballgame, six of which came in the bottom of the second. Kurt Wertz Jr. singled in the bottom of the third driving in JD Dorgan to extend the Otters' lead to 8-0.

Washington's lone run came in the top of the fourth when shortstop Austin Wobrock connected on a sharp single that drove in left fielder David Popkins who had a multi-hit game of his own. Center fielder Danny Poma and third baseman Carter Bell also posted multi-hit evenings.

Relief pitcher Kolin Stanley was excellent in his Frontier League debut. The rookie pitched two scoreless innings in the fourth and fifth frames while adding four punch outs to the stat sheet.
