
Ottawa Takes Overtime Win

Tonight, your Niagara IceDogs hit the road to face off against the Ottawa 67's.
Ottawa was able to open up the scoring early in the first period. However, Gushchin came back and tied it all up, scoring his 22nd goal of the season.
After 20 minutes, the score sat at 1-1.
The second period saw plenty of action. Ottawa scored early in the period, but Niagara was able to tie it up once again with Van Loon tallying his 9th of the season. Sirizzotti put the pressure on to force an own goal from Ottawa. But, Ottawa was able to get another late in the period keeping it a tie game.
After 40 minutes, the score was 3-3.
The third period was scoreless, which forced the game into overtime.
Ottawa scored 3 minutes into overtime, giving them the W. The Dogs take a point on the road.
Niagara is back in action tomorrow as they travel to Kingston to take on the Frontenacs.
