ORLANDO, Fla. - Orlando City SC forward Duncan McGuire has been nominated for a 2023 ESPY as part of the Best College Athlete, Men's Sports category. McGuire was selected as the No. 6 overall pick in the 2023 MLS SuperDraft by the Lions after a decorated career at Creighton University.
In his final season at Creighton, McGuire was awarded the 2022 MAC Hermann Trophy, which is awarded to the United States' top men's and women's college soccer players. He led all NCAA Division I in goals with 23 and in points with 50.
McGuire helped propel his team to the Semifinals of the College Cup with four goals and one assist across four tournament games.
