
Nashville SC Designated Player Walker Zimmerman Added to Captain Morgan's Fan Vote for Captain of the 2023 MLS All-Star Game

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Nashville Soccer Club in conjunction with Major League Soccer announced today that Designated Player Walker Zimmerman, who will be making his fourth consecutive All Star appearance, has been nominated alongside three other MLS players (Luciano Acosta, FC Cincinnati; Roman Bürki, St. Louis CITY SC; Christian Benteke, D.C. United) to become captain of the MLS All-Stars as they face Arsenal FC of the English Premier League on Wednesday, July 19.
Starting today through 11 a.m. CT on July 7, fans can participate in the MLS All-Star Captain Fan Vote presented by Captain Morgan and vote for Zimmerman to wear the All-Star team's armband here.
Zimmerman has served as captain for both club and country, 32 times with Nashville SC with a 12W-9L-11D record and nine for the United States Men's National Team with a 4W-4L-1D record.
The centerback has anchored the best backline in MLS this season, allowing a league low 16 goals while also earning three caps, two as captain, for the USMNT. In his most recent international call-up, Zimmerman started in the Concacaf Nations League Final against Canada and led the team to victory with a 2-0 win.
