Orioles Select Contract of LHP Dana Eveland; Place RHP Matt Lindstrom on DL

The Orioles today announced that they have selected the contract of LHP DANA EVELAND and placed RHP MATT LINDSTROM on the 15-day disabled list with a right middle finger injury.
Eveland, 28, is 3-2 with a 2.21 ERA (36.2IP, 9ER) in six starts for the Tides this season. He has pitched at least 5.0 innings and allowed three earned runs or fewer in each of his starts, striking out 19 and walking six.
Lindstrom, 32, has pitched to a 1.29 ERA (14.0IP, 2ER) with 14 strikeouts in 13 appearances. He did not allow an earned run in his first 12 games to start the season.
To make room for Eveland on the 40-man roster, the Orioles designated INF ZELOUS WHEELER for assignment.
