The IronPigs (18-15) play Game One of a four-game series against the Louisville Bats (11-24) at Louisville Slugger Field... With a 5-1 win yesterday in Indianapolis, the Pigs snapped a three-game skid and salvaged the finale of a four-game series at Victory Field. Now 1-3 on this eight-game, West Division road trip, the Pigs have gone just 8-13 since April 17 after starting a IL-best 10-2... The Bats -- Cincinnati's top affiliate -- lost 4-1 last night to Norfolk to drop a four-game series to the Tides, 4-1. Owners of the worst record in the IL, the Bats have dropped six of their last seven affairs and are just 6-17 since April 17.

RHP Scott Elarton (3-1, 2.84) will start for LHV against RHP Brett Tomko (0-3, 3.41) - the two starters boast a combined 75 years, 155 ML victories and 21 years, 83 days of ML Service Time (21.083).

First-Pitch is at 6:35 p.m.

WIN-LER CLOYD!:

With his victory yesterday, RHP Tyler Cloyd has started his Triple-A career at 3-0, 0.90 ERA in 3 GS -- becoming the first Phillies' farm hand to win his first three Triple-A starts since before 1999 (when day-by-days became available on stats portal)... He is now a combined 6-0, 1.40 in 7 GS (45 ip, 7 er) between AA/AAA -- and currently owns the 15th-best ERA in all MiLB...

* TC has the only 2, 7-inning outings on the staff in 2012... Going back to 7/3/11, he's 11-2, 1.94 ERA in last 19 GS (120.2/26).

* Other notes about winning: RHP Nelson Figueroa won his only 3 GS with the Pigs in '09 (3-0, 0.95)... RHP Nate Bump was his first 3 decisions in '10 (in 4 GS)... RHP Drew Carpenter lost his Triple-A debut to end '08 but won his first 6 dec. in '09 (12 GS).
