
Orioles Place RHP Jason Garcia on Disabled List; Recall RHP Mike Wright from Triple-A Norfolk

The Orioles today announced that they have placed RHP JASON GARCIA on the 15-day disabled list with right shoulder tendinitis, retroactive to May 11. In a corresponding move, the Orioles have recalled RHP MIKE WRIGHT from Triple-A Norfolk.
Garcia, 22, pitched to a 5.93 ERA (13.2IP, 9ER) over eight games with the Orioles this season after making his Major League debut on April 8 at Tampa Bay.
Wright, 25, went 3-0 with a 2.64 ERA (30.2IP, 9ER) and 30 strikeouts over six starts with Triple-A Norfolk this season. In 91 career minor league games (87 starts), he went 32-21 with a 3.99 ERA (477.2IP, 212ER). Wright will make his Major League debut in his first appearance with the Orioles. He will wear No. 59.
