Orange Is the New Green: Carrot Joins WCC Race
April 12, 2018 - International League (IL1)
Buffalo Bisons News Release
Seeing is believing!
The answer to the question we've all been asking since last August has been answered. On Opening Day at Coca-Cola Field, Celery passed the torch to another member of the vegetable community and introduced Carrot to WCC Racing fans!
Carrot comes to the WCC Race with deep roots in competitive racing. And after an offseason of training with Celery, is ready to step in for the legend as the fourth member of the WCC competition.
'It's an incredible moment for me, and I am so grateful to the Bisons and Celery for giving me this chance. When you're just a little baby carrot, you dream of a day like this. For it to be real now, it's an incredible feeling," said Carrot.
Carrot is hoping the victories come in bunches, but is still up against tough competition with Wing, Atomic and Bleu Cheese. Chances are, they won't be very inviting after Celery brought through with a victory.
But Celery told Carrot not to worry about that.
"In our training, I just told Carrot to give it your all and the great Bisons fans will get behind you like how they supported me for so many years," said Celery.
Big roots to fill, for sure. But everyone knows that carrots are good for you. So, it might just be the perfect addition to the WCC Race.
