
Open Tryout To Be Held At Bernie Robbins Stadium

Atlantic City, NJ- On Thursday, July 26th there will be an open tryout for multiple independent professional baseball leagues held at Bernie Robbins Stadium, home of the Atlantic City Surf of the Can-Am League.
Interested individuals should arrive at the ballpark by 8:30AM for registration. Participants must be high school graduates and at least 18 years of age. Upon registration, there will be a $50 administration fee and players will be required to sign a release form. All players are required to provide their own equipment.
Multiple scouts from various independent minor league ball clubs will be on hand to evaluate the players. The tryout will be organized by Cash Beauchamp, director of player procurement and baseball operations with the South Coast League and Matt Stark, owner and operator of the International Performance Baseball's Florida Fall League. Also monitoring the tryout will be Atlantic City Surf field manager and director of baseball operations Chris Carminucci, who also serves as an independent scout for the Philadelphia Phillies.
At the end of the tryout a select few will be chosen to stay an extra day for further evaluation. Any individual who is traveling from out of town can contact the Fairfield Inn in Absecon for room accommodations. There is no special player room rate for these nights and you must make reservations on your own. Room rates will be based on hotel availability.
