American Defenders of New Hampshire News Release

NASHUA, NH, June 28, 2007) The Nashua Pride have announced today that pitcher Jason Kosow will be appearing in the ESPN Original Entertainment mini-series, The Bronx is Burning. The 6-foot-3 right-hander will be playing the part of Jim "Catfish" Hunter.

The Bronx is Burning, an eight-part mini-series, recreates the turbulent 1977 New York Yankees championship season. The heated mayoral race and a severe financial crisis are part of the volatility of New York City that created a background for this unforgettable season. The series premieres following the conclusion of the MLB Homerun Derby on ESPN at 10 PM. New York Yankees owner George Steinbrenner will be played by Oliver Platt, while John Turturro plays Yankees manager Billy Martin.

Kosow, an Exeter, NH native, is a graduate of Exeter High School, where he led the baseball team to the Class L championship game. The 24-year-old was drafted in the 27th round of the 2004 amateur draft by the Chicago Cubs. After spending a season in the Cubs' organization, Kosow joined the Pride in 2006.
