After leaving the field Wednesday trailing 8-1, the New Jersey Jackals came back Thursday to dominate New Haven County en route to their 22nd win of the season. The game was resumed in the bottom of the fourth inning and New Jersey promptly took control of the game. Tallying only three hits in the inning, the Jackals scored six runs thanks to an error and five walks by the Cutters. Still trailing 8-7, the Jackals tied the game on RF Francisco Leandro's second home run of the season in the bottom of the sixth inning and broke ahead on a run-scoring single by 3B Wilton Veras. The Jackals added two more runs in the seventh inning, making the final score 11-8.

In a game that was scheduled to go only seven innings, the Jackals and Cutters wouldn't have any of that. New Jersey tied the game at 4-4 in the bottom of the seventh. For two-and-a-half innings, the Cutters and Jackals battled to a stalemate. But in the bottom of the tenth inning, DH Sandy Madera crossed home plate on a single by C Clay Kucklich to give the Jackals a 5-4 win. The walk-off single was Kucklich's only hit of the night. For the Cutters, RF Jeremy Pickrel went 2-for-4 with a run and an RBI.

Quebec 11, Sussex 6 (Game 1 - Completion of a suspended game from June 27th.)

Quebec took an early 4-0 lead in the bottom of the second inning thanks to two hits, two walks, a hit batsman and a Sussex error. The Capitales would lead by as many as eight runs in the game, after scoring four runs in the bottom of the fifth inning on the strength of a three-run home run by DH Ivan Rojas. Capitales pitcher Keith Dunn earned his third win of the season, pitching seven innings and allowing five runs on 10 hits with a walk and three strikeouts. For Sussex, 2B Rob Gandolfo went 2-for-4 on the night with a run scored and two RBI.

Quebec 7, Sussex 3 (Regularly scheduled game - 7 innings)

In the regularly scheduled game Thursday, the Capitales used early runs to take down Sussex and win the three game series with the Skyhawks, two games to one. Already leading 1-0 after the first inning, Quebec got six runs on the strength of a 3B Jjallil Sandoval two-run double in the bottom of the second inning to all but close the door on Sussex. Starting Capitales pitcher Kevin Beavers pitched six innings and allowed two runs on seven hits and three walks with a strikeout. Sandoval and Quebec 1B Mike Galloway each went 2-for-3 with two RBI, with Sandoval scoring a run.

Atlantic City 1, Grays 0

An old-fashioned pitchers duel broke out in Atlantic City as the Surf edged the Grays 1-0. Starting Surf pitcher JC Huguet earned his fourth win of the season, pitching six scoreless innings in which he allowed only one hit and two walks while striking out three Grays batters. Atlantic City 3B Anthon Granato batted in the only run of the game in the bottom of the first inning on a sacrifice fly that scored SS Josh Renick. Renick went 2-for-4 on the night while scoring the only run. Surf closer Matt Pike entered the game in the ninth inning and allowed one hit and struck out one batter on his way to his ninth save of the season, tying him with Nashua's Rich Garces for the league lead.

With the scored tied at 3-3, Tornadoes 2B Jeff LaHair singled in DH Chris Colabello in the top of the eighth inning to give Worcester a 4-3 lead. LaHair went 2-for-4 on the night with a run and an RBI. After getting seven innings of work from starting pitcher Alex Pena, Worcester went to its bullpen in the eighth inning and relievers Eddie Pena and John Birtwell combined to pitch two innings, allowing only one hit and striking out three batters to secure the win for the Tornadoes. For the Pride, SS Olmo Rosario went 3-or-3 with two RBI.

North Shore 4, Brockton 0

Spirit starting pitcher Ryan Bicondoa put together quite a performance Thursday night against Brockton. Bicondoa pitched all nine innings, shutting out the Rox on three hits and two walks with an amazing twelve strikeouts. With the shutout, Bicondoa's ERA dropped to 2.99. The Spirit got all four of their runs in the top of the third inning, highlighted by a two-run home run by C Alex Trezza. After the win, North Shore's season record sits at an even 16-16.
