Ontario Reign Game Preview: Reign Battle Condors Tonight over Crucial Pacific-Division Points

Ontario, CA - The Ontario Reign, proud American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League (NHL), visit the Bakersfield Condors tonight at 7:00 PT at Rabobank Arena in Bakersfield, California. Tonight is the ninth of 12 meetings between the two teams this season.

Series at a Glance:

The Reign hold a 4-4-0-0 head-to-head record against the Condors, 1-2-0-0 record in Bakersfield and last met on February 12 in Ontario, suffering a 3-2 loss. Reign forward Nic Dowd leads all active skaters in the series with six points (three goals, three assists) and Reign forward Kris Newbury leads the series with four goals. The Condors have won the last three meetings (Feb. 12, Jan. 16, Jan. 9).

Reign are Rolling:

The Reign are 7-1-1-0 in their last nine games and saw an eight-game point streak (7-0-1-0) come to a close on Saturday in a 4-1 loss to the San Diego Gulls.

Dangerous with the Lead:

The Reign and Condors are both unbeaten in regulation when carrying a lead into the third period. The Reign are 27-0-0-0 when leading after two periods while the Condors are 20-0-2-0.

Blanked in Bakersfield:

All three games of the series held at Rabobank Arena have been decided by shutout. The Reign won the opening contest, 5-0, on October 10 before the Condors prevailed 3-0 and 4-0 on November 14 and January 9.
