ALBANY, NY -- By the end of the week, the Albany Devils could have a playoff berth secure. The team's magic number is seven, meaning they need to secure seven points, opponents vying for the last playoff spot need to fail to gain seven points or anywhere in between. The Devils will try and take care of two of those points Tuesday when they host the Springfield Falcons for a 7 pm start at Times Union Center.

- The Devils are second in the North Division and Eastern Conference at 38-16-8-1 (.675), while Springfield is eighth in the Atlantic Division and 15th in the conference at 23-32-3-5 (.429).

- Albany is 22-5-2-1 at home, while Springfield is 8-15-2-4 on the road.
