Ontario Clippers News Release
LOS ANGELES, Calif. - The Ontario Clippers (6-1), the NBA G League affiliate of the LA Clippers, win their sixth consecutive game, defeating the Salt Lake City Stars (2-2), 117-107, at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on Thursday afternoon.
Three Clippers scored at least 20 points, led by Moussa Diabate, who recorded 24 points and 10 rebounds for the double-double. Nate Darling (22 points) and Xavier Moon (22 points) round out the trio.
LA Clippers assignee Jason Preston also dished out a season-high 14 assists in the win.
The Stars were led by Micah Potter and Johnny Juzang, who recorded 20 points apiece in the defeat.
After a close first half that ended in a single-point difference going into break, the tides quickly turned after a 14-3 run by Ontario blew the game open. The Clippers lead would grow to as much as 17 as they cruised the rest of the way to victory.
Salt Lake City won the three-point battle, knocking down 48.4 percent of their attempts (15-for-31) compared to Ontario's 35.5 percent (11-for-31), but the Clippers shot better from the field overall (54.8 percent to 42.7 percent).
Next up, the Clippers look to keep the streak alive as they take on the G League Ignite on Monday, November 21. The game tips off at 7 pm PST inside the Toyota Arena in Ontario, CA.
