AUSTIN - The Austin Spurs (3-3) fell to the Birmingham Squadron (1-4), 85-103, at the HEB Center at Cedar Park on Thursday.
Alize Johnson recorded a 20-point double-double to lead the Spurs with 26 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists, and Chaundee Brown Jr. added 21 points to go with 4 rebounds and 2 assists.
The Spurs jumped out to a 26-18 lead in the first quarter and carried a 48-43 advantage into the locker room at half. Birmingham outscored Austin 31-19 in the third quarter to take a seven-point lead into the final period, 74-67. The Squadron held Austin to 18 points in the fourth quarter to secure the win.
Dereon Seabron led the Squadron with 21 points and 12 rebounds for a double-double, while Zylan Cheatham tallied 20 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists.
