
Only 500 Tickets Remaining for SuperLiga Match at Buck Shaw Stadium in Santa Clara

SAN JOSE, Calif. - The San Jose Earthquakes announced today that there are 500 tickets remaining for the SuperLiga match between Club Deportivo Guadalajara versus Atlante FC on Saturday, July 19 at 7 p.m. PT at Buck Shaw Stadium.
Tickets are still available online at sjearthquakes.com, by calling (800) 225-2277 or by visiting your local authorized Tickets.com outlets. Prices for individual tickets range from $20 to $60.
Chivas will practice on Thursday from 7-9 p.m. PT at Foothill College. The team will also practice on Friday from 8-10 p.m. PT at Buck Shaw Stadium. Atlante will practice from 6-8 p.m. PT on Thursday and Friday at Santa Clara University. Practices are open to the media, but closed to the general public. Media members can pick up credentials and parking passes at any of the training sessions.
Chivas Guadalajara is one of México's most successful franchises and will be making its first appearance at Buck Shaw. The team won its' 11th league title in 2006, the most championships won by any club in league history. Guadalajara finished the 2008 Torneo Clausura first overall with a record of 9-2-6. The team also participated in the 2008 Copa Libertadores, finishing the tournament with a 3-3-0 record and nine points to finish third in its group. In the inaugural SuperLiga in 2007, they finished 1-1-1 with a 2-1 win over the Los Angeles Galaxy on July 28 at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. They were eliminated following a 1-0 loss to Pachuca 1-0 on Aug. 1, 2007 at Commerce City, Colo.
Atlante finished fourth in Group 2 in the Mexican First Division with a 3-6-8 record in the Torneo Clausura in 2008. Atlante was eliminated by Costa Rican Deportivo Saprissa in the quarterfinals of the CONCACAF Champions Cup on March 13 and 20, 2008. Atlante captured the 2007 Torneo Apertura Championship, the club's third league title. By finishing in the top four of the 2007 Torneo Apertura, Atlante was selected as one of four Mexican teams for the 2008 SuperLiga.
SuperLiga kicked off its second season on Saturday July 12, when Chivas Guadalajara defeated D.C. United 2-1 at RFK Stadium in Washington D.C. The Dynamo defeated Atlante 4-0 that same night at Robertson Stadium in Houston. On Tuesday night, Chivas defeated Houston 1-0 at Robertson Stadium to improve to 2-0-0 in this year's tournament. Meanwhile, Atlante topped D.C. United 3-2 at RFK Stadium and are now 1-1-0.
