St. Paul Saints News Release
ST. PAUL, MN - Red, white, and blue. The Statue of Liberty. A bald eagle. Independence Day is a celebration of our freedom, the U.S.A., and more importantly the women and men who help fight for us and our country. The St. Paul Saints have always made sure to honor all of that and more during their Independence Day game each season and this year will be no exception.
The Saints return home for one game, on Monday, July 2, at 6:05 p.m. for their Independence Day Celebration with Fireworks SuperShow and Monster Food Truck Rally. The pre-game ceremonies will kick off with current and former Military members, including a focus on the struggles some of our veterans experience re-entering civilian life, with a special emphasis on female veteran homelessness.
The Military Assistance Command, Vietnam (MACV) will take part in the pre-game ceremony showing a video that highlights a home to house for female veterans that is being built. Following the video the MACV and the Builders Association will hand over the keys of a home to a female veteran.
For the game the Saints will wear special patriotic uniforms that are white, with blue pinstripes, and a red left chest "STP" logo outlined in blue. The jerseys will be auctioned off during the game with proceeds from the auction benefitting female homeless veterans.
Following the game is the Monster Food truck rally. The following food trucks are scheduled to appear: Anchor Fish & Chips, Arcane, Buffalo Bison, FunFare, Gastrotruck, Heavy Metal Grill, Hometown Creamery, OHM Brownies, Panini Pinups, Sandy's Italian Ice, Tiki Tims, Tot Boss, and Z Smokin Bones.
The Saints will then have the Fireworks SuperShow, a 20-minute red, white, and blue display of some of the best fireworks in the Twin Cities.
Saints tickets continue to be a tremendous value. Tickets begin at $5 for the Treasure Island berm seating (available only on day of game in person at the box office), $6 for SPLASH Zone bleacher seats, $14 for outfield reserved, $16 for the drink rail and $18 for infield reserved and home plate reserved. Friday Home Games with Post-Game Fireworks are an additional $2 per ticket. Post-Game Fireworks Supershows (July 2 and September 2) are an additional $3 per ticket. Tickets purchased on the day of the game are an additional $2 per ticket. Children under the age of 14 and seniors 65 and older receive $1 off the admission price. Children under 2 that don't require a seat are free.
