Fargo-Moorhead 13, Texas 1- Box Score
The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks cruised to a 13-1 victory over the Texas AirHogs on Thursday.
Texas scored their only run off of RedHawks starter, Will Solomon (4-4) who pitched all nine innings, in the top of the first when Dillon Thomas hit a sacrifice fly.
Fargo-Moorhead by beginning their offensive onslaught with a three-run eight batter inning in the bottom of the first. The RedHawks would go on to score two in the second, two in the third, three in the sixth, two in the seventh and one in the eighth.
Brennan Metzger and Charlie Valerio both homered for Fargo-Moorhead. Metzger went 2-for-2 with one home run (4), three runs scored, and two RBIs. Valerio went 3-for-5 with a home run (9), two runs scored, and three RBIs.
With the win, the RedHawks improved to 20-17 overall, while the AirHogs fell to 8-28.
Sioux Falls 6, Cleburne 4- Box Score
The Sioux Falls Canaries erased a three-run deficit to defeat the Cleburne Railroaders 6-4 on Thursday.
The Railroaders scored two in the fourth on a two-run ground rule double by Angel Rosa and two more on a home run by Trevor Sealy (3) in the fifth to make it a 4-1 game.
Cleburne held the lead until the eighth inning when the Canaries scored five. Dan Motl drove in two with a single, Jordan Smith drove in two with a ground rule double and Jabari Henry drove in one with a single.
Reliever Ryan Fritze (2-2) was awarded the win and James Jones earned the save (8).
With the win, Sioux Falls improved to 14-23 overall, while the Railroaders fell to 13-24.
Gary SouthShore 7, Chicago 0- Box Score
The Gary SouthShore Railcats powered their way to a 7-0 victory over the Chicago Dogs on Thursday.
Andy DeJesus, Randy Santiesteban, Colin Willis, DK Carey, Andy Paz (2) and Will Savage all collected RBIs for the Railcats.
Daniel Minor (6-2) was masterful for Gary SouthShore, allowing just five hits and striking out six in eight shutout innings of work.
With the win, the Railcats improved to 21-17 overall, while the Dogs fell to 11-27.
Kansas City 6, Lincoln 2- Box Score
The Kansas City T-Bones won their sixth straight game on Thursday, defeating the Lincoln Saltdogss 6-2.
Todd Cunningham led the T-Bones, going 4-for-4 with three RBIs. In total Kansas City collected 12 hits
Curt Smith went 1-for-4 with a solo home run for the Saltdogs.
Barrett Astin (5-1) allowed just one unearned run in six innings of work for Kansas City.
With the win, the T-Bones improved to 24-13 overall, while Lincoln fell to 22-17.
St. Paul 8, Winnipeg 6- Box Score
The St. Paul Saints scored late to defeat the Winnipeg Goldeyes 8-6 on Thursday.
The Goldeyes took a 5-0 lead in the bottom of the first. The Saints got on the board in the top of the second when Burt Reynolds, who was just signed early in the day, hit his first of two home runs on the day to lead-off the inning.
St. Paul cut the lead to one in the fourth when Reynolds went deep for the second time, driving in three.
The game was tied heading into the top of the ninth when Max Murphy drove in one and the Saints scored on a passed ball to take an 8-6 lead.
Mike Devine (2-2) was awarded the win after pitching a scoreless final two innings.
With the win, St. Paul improved to 21-18 overall, while Winnipeg fell to 19-20.
