The Owen Sound Attack are set for a full weekend of hockey when they kick off a three in three on Thursday in Windsor.

The Attack will travel south to take on the Spitfires at 7:05pm on Thursday evening before heading stateside for a match up against the Plymouth Whalers at 7:30pm on Friday night.Owen Sound concludes the weekend with a rematch against the Spits on Saturday at the Bayshore, with puck drop also set for 7:30pm.

Entering the weekend, the Attack are currently sitting in 2nd in the Midwest Division with a 8-3-1-3 record that leaves them with 20 points through 15 games. Erie leads the division, and the Western Conference, with a 13-0-0-1 record. The rest of the Division is tightly bunched with just three points separating the 2nd place Attack from the 5th place Guelph Storm.

Kyle Platzer, an Edmonton Oilers draft pick, remains firmly entrenched as the team's scoring leader with six goals and 14 assists, good for 20 points in 15 games. He is 14th overall in league scoring, while the Attack also have three defenseman inside the league's rearguard scoring race. Chris Bigras sits in 4th with five goals and nine assists while Thomas Schemitsch and Damir Sharipzyanov both have 12 points, leaving them in 7th and 8th respectively. Schemitsch's 12 points have come courtesy of five goals and seven assists while Sharipzyanov has one goal and 11 assists on the year.

The Attack could be looking at some more offence being added to their line up this weekend. Jaden Lindo could return to game action after rehabbing a lower body injury. He will be a game time decision, while Holden Cook (upper body) and Ryan Heeps (lower body) will not dress. There is no immediate timetable set for their return.

KEYS TO VICTORY

Attack head coach Greg Ireland knows that no matter who the team is playing, Owen Sound will be successful if they stick to their game. With the Windsor Spitfires boasting a star in Josh Ho-Sang, and the Plymouth Whalers having the services of Sonny Milano, the Attack will need to be more focused than ever on executing those game plans. While they will certainly look to shut down the high powered forwards for both teams, the Attack will be especially wary of staying disciplined in doing so, while also winning battles along the boards and executing a heavy and fast forecheck.

PLAYERS TO WATCH

Patrick Sanvido, D, Windsor Spitfires

0 G, 3 A, 14 GP

While Sanvido's stats may not dazzle anyone, the 3rd year defenceman is a rock on the blue line for the Spitfires. Named the team's captain on Wednesday, Nov. 5, he plays a big, physical game and is usually tasked with shutting down the top lines of other teams. He will have a hard time against the Attack though, as Owen Sound has seen their offence spread out over all four lines this season.

Sonny Milano, LW, Plymouth Whalers

1 G, 6 A, 4 GP

The 1st round pick of the Columbus Blue Jackets in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft, Milano wasn't a guarantee to suit up for the Whalers. A fractured jaw delayed his OHL debut, but since he has slotted into the lineup he has produced heavily. A dynamic skater, the Attack will look to shut down his passing ability.
