Cristiano DiGiacinto scored the game-winner and Alex Fotinos made 28 saves, as the Spitifres beat the Owen Sound Attack 4-2 on Thursday night in front of 4,531 at the WFCU Centre.
After a scoreless first period, the Spits exploded for three goals in a decisive, 67-second span of the second.
Aaron Luchuk (2) got the Spits on the board with a shorthanded breakaway goal at 9:26, before Trevor Murphy (4) and DiGiacinto (5) struck to make it 3-0 Windsor (6-8-1-0).
Zack Nastasiuk (8, 9) got Owen Sound (8-4-1-3) within a goal with back-to-back markers at 14:18 of the second and 10:15 of the third period.
But the Attack would get no closer, as Fotinos came up big with 10 third-period stops.
Jamie Lewis (1) scored to put the game out of reach, his first goal as a Spitfire, tipping home an Andrew Burns point shot on the power play, at 13:45, to round out the scoring.
Ryan Moore had two assists, while Murphy and Graeme Brown finished the night plus-3.
The Spitfires continue a busy weekend Friday night with a visit to London, before making a return visit to Owen Sound on Saturday night.
