SURPRISE, AZ - Shane Costa belted a three-run homer in the third inning to put Omaha on top for good and the Royals went on to down the Oklahoma RedHawks 6-3 Thursday. With the victory, Omaha finished Spring Training with a record of 9-3-1.

Costa's home run gave the Royals a 3-2 lead, which grew to 4-2 the next inning on Mike Stodolka's RBI single. Ken Huckaby closed out Omaha's scoring in the fifth with a two-run single. Wilver Perez scored two of the Royals runs in the contest and Nick Van Stratten collected two of Omaha's eight hits.

Lefty Tyler Lumsden got the start and the win for the Royals. He went five innings, allowing two runs on four hits and three walks, striking out five.

Omaha's Opening Day roster has not yet been announced by Kansas City. The parent club opens its 2008 season next Monday, March 31st with a 12:05 p.m. game at Detroit.
