June 2, 2011 - Indoor Football League (IFL)
Omaha Beef News Release
Omaha - With Omaha's 75-41 victory over the Nebraska Danger this past weekend the BEEF have put themselves in position for hosting a first round playoff game. Currently the BEEF sit at 8-4 and are battling with the Bloomington Extreme (8-4) and Chicago Slaughter (8-4) for the 4th through 6th seeds in the United Conference playoffs. The 5th and 6th seeds would be on the road in the first round.
If the playoffs started today, the BEEF would have the 4th seed based on tiebreakers against Bloomington and Chicago. They've beaten Chicago twice and have a better opponents winning percentage than Bloomington.
The BEEF play on the road this Friday facing off against the Wyoming Cavalry (7-5), who they beat at the Slaughterhouse 68-24 back in April. The BEEF finish up the regular season at home next weekend against the undefeated Sioux Falls Storm (12-0).
The BEEF are celebrating their 12th year of Professional Indoor Football in Omaha, Nebraska. The BEEF have made the playoffs in each of their 12 years of existence, an indoor football record. All home games kick off at 7:05pm at "The Slaughterhouse" - Omaha Civic Auditorium. The Omaha Beef are a member of the Indoor Football League, the premier indoor football league in America.
