Vidswap.com Week 15 Players of the Week Named

June 2, 2011 - Indoor Football League (IFL) News Release


Richmond, VA: The Indoor Football League is proud to announce the Vidswap.com Players of the Week for Week 15 in the IFL. Each week the IFL selects three players, one from each phase of the game, offense, defense, and specials teams, whose play on the field stood out among the rest of the competition. The Week 15 Players of the week are listed as follows:

Offensive Player of the Week: Charles McCollum, QB, Seattle Timberwolves

McCollum has been showing off his elusive offense in the past couple of weeks, making presence on the IFL's Top Ten Plays and now Player of the Week for Week 15. Charles led his team to a great victory this weekend over the Venom. Charles threw for 6 touchdowns and rushed for one more for a total of seven touchdowns on the night, as well as going 17/25 for 260 yards.

Defensive Player of the Week: Adrian McLeod, LB, Lehigh Valley Steelhawks

McLeod was all over the Revolution this past weekend in the 38-12 victory. Giving Purvis plenty of trouble, Adrian recorded 3 sacks as well as 11 tackles on the night. With both teams looking to prepare for the next season, McLeod put on a show that should not go unnoticed.

Special Teams Player of the Week: Parker Douglass, K, Sioux Falls Storm

It is not surprising to see put another member of the undefeated Storm team up on the charts as player of the week, but Douglass has made his due. Parker showed exquisite accuracy this weekend as he went 3-3 on field goals of 28, 37, and 48 yards. On top of the long range game, Douglass also recorded 9-10 extra points for a total of 18 points on the game.
