OKC Escapes Austin with 103-100 Win

CEDAR PARK, Texas, March 29, 2015 - The Oklahoma City Blue closed its three-game road trip with a 103-100 win over the Austin Spurs on Sunday at Cedar Park Center. The Blue shot 56.2 percent from the field as five Oklahoma City players scored in double figures.

Semaj Christon led the Blue's offensive efforts with 23 points, seven rebounds and four assists. Fellow guard Dwight Buycks scored 18 points to go with 18 points, seven boards, seven assists and three steals. Talib Zanna notched 14 points and five rebounds and Maurice Sutton scored 13. Frank Gaines led the Blue's bench with 11 points and five boards.

Neither team led by more than two possessions in the first half as Oklahoma City outscored the Spurs 54-52 in the first 24 minutes. Christon shot 5-for-5 in the second period to total 14 points in the frame. The Blue built on its lead in the third quarter to hold an 82-78 advantage heading into the fourth.

Oklahoma City was ahead for the entirety of the fourth quarter, leading by as many as nine. The Spurs cut the Blue's lead down to two with 19.9 seconds remaining but the OKC defense held off Austin's last-second attempts to escape with the victory.

The Blue (26-22) is now 12-1 on the season when shooting 50 percent or higher, including 6-0 when shooting above 55 percent.

Orlando Johnson led Austin (31-17) with 26 points and six rebounds.

Oklahoma City will host the Idaho Stampede in its final home contest on April 3 before closing the season in Pennsylvania against the Erie BayHawks on April 4. For more information, visit OklahomaCityBlue.com.
