Texas Legends News Release

RENO, NV - The Texas Legends found themselves on the wrong side of a historic night in Reno on Saturday. Dar Tucker tied an NBA Development League record for most points scored in a game to lead the Bighorns to a 161-127 win over the visiting Legends.

The Legends got off to an early lead but lost control three minutes into the game and never regained it. The Bighorns pulled away by as many as nine in the first, but Mike James powered out 12 points to push the Legends within two going into the second. Reno caught fire in the second as Dar Tucker and David Stockton combined for 26 points on a 70% team shooting effort to overtake the Legends 53-33 and hold a 22 point lead at halftime.

Reno continued the hot shooting streak going for 59% to the Legends' 38% out of the locker room. The Bighorns also doubled the Legends' rebounds as the deficit continued to grow for Texas. The Legends found themselves down by as many as 39 in the final quarter. Despite a double-digit effort from James, Texas could not find an answer for Tucker and the Bighorns as they pulled off a 34-point victory in the final matchup of the two teams.

The Legends had six players in double digits and shot 42.1% on the night. James set a new season-high to lead the team with 34 points, six assists while Eric Griffin added 24 points, seven rebounds and Jarrid Famous grabbed the team's only double-double of 23 points, 13 rebounds.

Tucker grabbed 12 rebounds to complement the franchise-record 58 points. Coby Karl added 26 points and a game-high 15 assists while Sim Bhullar grabbed a game-high 18 rebounds along with 18 points and seven blocked shots.

The Legends will head to Santa Cruz next to take on the Warriors at 8pm CT on Sunday. Fans can catch all the action live on www.TexLegends.com.
