With one out in the first inning, Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Joc Pederson hit the first pitch he saw on his MLB rehab assignment out to center field for a home run.

Designated hitter Scott Van Slyke followed with a home run to left field before second baseman Willie Calhoun followed with a homer to right-center field as the Dodgers went back-to-back-to-back in front of a sellout crowd of 9,640.

Van Slyke's homer was his first of the season and Calhoun boosted his season total to 12 homers.

Later with Martinson at third base and one out, Brett Hayes hit a fly ball into right-center field. Alex Verdugo made the catch for the second out and threw a laser to catcher Kyle Farmer, who tagged out Martinson at the plate to keep the Express lead at one.

The Dodgers added two more runs in the fourth inning. Maggi hit a one-out RBI double and Verdugo followed with a RBI single for a 6-5 lead.

A solo homer by Round Rock's O'Brien led off the fifth inning to tie the game, 6-6. The Dodgers tacked on two more runs in the bottom of the fifth inning on a RBI double by Freeman and RBI single by Maggi to regain the lead, 8-6.
