Today's Game: The Oklahoma City Dodgers try to extend their winning streak to four games when they continue their road series against the Sugar Land Space Cowboys at 7:05 p.m. at Constellation Field. OKC last won four consecutive games June 9-13 and last won four consecutive road games as part of a seven-game winning streak May 9-23...The Dodgers lead the current series, 3-1, and are 17-5 over their last 22 road games and 28-12 on the road overall this season as they own the most road wins in the Minors.
Last Game: The Oklahoma City Dodgers scored in each of the first four innings to take a 7-0 lead and starting pitcher Landon Knack dealt six scoreless innings during an 8-2 victory over the Sugar Land Space Cowboys Saturday night at Constellation Field. The Dodgers took a 2-0 lead two batters into the game when Michael Busch popped a two-run homer. They added two runs in the second inning and scored twice more in the third inning on a sacrifice fly by Bryson Brigman and RBI double by Drew Avans. Devin Mann ripped a RBI single in the fourth inning to make it 7-0. The Space Cowboys got on the board in the seventh inning with a two-run homer by Joe Perez. The Dodgers scored their final run in the ninth inning with a RBI single by Brigman. Knack earned a second consecutive win and allowed three hits over his six stellar frames. He walked two and notched seven strikeouts.
Today's Probable Pitcher: Matt Andriese (5-4) makes his team-leading 14th start of the season and looks to rebound after loses in his last two outings...He pitched 2.0 innings his last appearance June 25 against Las Vegas at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark. He allowed eight runs and eight hits with one walk and three strikeouts and was charged with the loss in OKC's 10-6 defeat. The eight runs allowed were the most he has given up in a game since a season-high 11 runs allowed April 18 in Albuquerque...Andriese was named May's PCL Pitcher of the Month by MiLB and in four starts, he went 2-0 with a 1.77 ERA. He held opponents to a .194 average and did not allow an earned run in two of his four starts and just one earned run in another outing. He allowed 14 hits over 20.1 IP with four walks and 13 K's, posting a 0.89 WHIP. It was his first career monthly award and second honor of 2023 as he was named PCL Pitcher of the Week for May 8-14....Over his nine starts prior to last Sunday, June 25, Andriese posted a 2.77 ERA and the Dodgers went 7-2 in those games...Andriese is in his 13th professional season and signed with the Dodgers Jan. 30 after spending the 2022 season with the Yomiuri Giants of Japan's Nippon Professional Baseball, going 5-2 with a 2.86 ERA over 15 games. He notched 56 strikeouts against 14 walks in 63.0 IP...Andriese was selected in the third round of the 2011 MLB Draft by San Diego from UC Riverside and made his ML debut with Tampa Bay April 10, 2015 at Miami. He's made a total of 217 appearances in the Majors with five different teams...Tonight is his third start of the season against the Space Cowboys. He is 1-1 with a 4.22 ERA over his first 10.2 innings against Sugar Land, allowing eight runs (five earned) and 15 hits, with one walk and nine strikeouts.

The Dodgers and Space Cowboys meet for their third of four series this season and first of the season in Sugar Land...The Dodgers won the first two series of the season in OKC April 11-16, 4-2, and May 16-21, 5-1, at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark...Drew Avans led OKC with 11 hits and 12 runs scored through the first 12 meetings, while Ryan Ward had nine RBI and Michael Busch knocked five doubles. The Dodgers outscored the Space Cowboys, 61-47, through the first two series as they held the Space Cowboys to a .199 AVG, but Sugar Land hit 15 homers compared to OKC's nine...The Dodgers won the 2022 series, 16-8, and went 11-4 at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark. The Dodgers did not lose back-to-back games to Sugar Land at any point last season...Of last season's 24 total meetings, nine were one-run games and six of 16 meetings so far in 2023 have been decided by one run...The last time OKC played at Constellation Field Aug. 16-21, 2022, four of six games were decided in a team's final at-bat, with three of those games won by the team trailing entering its final at-bat.
Trend Setters: The Dodgers have won three straight games after a 1-3 stretch and are 53-24 overall this season. They own the most wins among the 120 full-season teams in Minor League Baseball, while their winning percentage ranks second. They are a season-best 29 games above .500 and were last 29 games above .500 following a Sept. 6, 2015 win against Memphis to improve to 86-57. Only once during the team's Bricktown era has an OKC team been 30 games above .500 - following a Sept. 3, 2015 win against Iowa to improve to 85-55...The Dodgers reached the 50-win mark in 72 games - faster than any PCL team since at least 2005, as data from 2004 and earlier is not available. The previous fastest a PCL team has reached 50 wins in a season since 2005 was in 77 games, achieved by the 2015 Dodgers and 2011 Sacramento River Cats (50-27)...During the Bricktown era (since 1998), the team's best previous record through 77 games was in 2015 when the Dodgers went 50-27...OKC is 31-13 since May 9 and has lost consecutive games just twice during the 44-game stretch...The Dodgers finished the first half with a 50-23 record and won the Pacific Coast League's first-half championship. By virtue of winning the first half in the split-season format, the Dodgers will host a best-of-three PCL Championship Series Sept. 26-28 at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark against the winner of the second half (or second-place finisher should the Dodgers also win the second half).
Getting Offensive: The Dodgers scored at least eight runs and compiled at least 13 hits for a second straight night Saturday. All nine OKC batters hit safely, and the team finished with four extra-base hits and eight walks. Between the last two games, the Dodgers have scored 19 runs on 32 hits, batting .405 (32x79) overall and 12-for-33 (.364) with runners in scoring position. They have outscored the Space Cowboys, 19-4, and outhit Sugar Land, 32-9...The team has collected at least 10 hits in five of the last six games, batting .319 (70x219) during that time...The Dodgers started July just like they hit throughout June, batting .293 while scoring an average of 7.7 runs per game. It was the team's highest monthly batting average since July 2019 (.298).
Mound Matters: The Dodgers pitching staff allowed two runs for a third consecutive game Saturday. The six total runs allowed by the Dodgers over the last three games is the lowest run total by an OKC opponent during a three-game stretch since May 27-31 when OKC allowed five total runs over three games (two games at Sacramento and one at home against Reno). This is the second time this season the Dodgers have held an opponent to two runs or less in three straight games and the first time since April 27-29 against Sacramento in OKC (3 R total)...Making his third Triple-A start last night, Landon Knack did not allow a run over six innings. He allowed three hits, with two walks and seven strikeouts. Through his first four innings, Knack retired 12 of 14 batters, and he retired 15 of 18 batters through five innings...The Dodgers have allowed four runs or less in four consecutive games, in six of their last eight games and in seven of the last 10 games. This is the first time since May 25-30 (5 G) OKC has held an opponent to four runs or less in four consecutive games...The team has posted a league-low 3.42 ERA over the last eight games (27 ER/71.0 IP) after owning a 6.28 ERA over the previous 17 games...The Dodgers have held Sugar Land 0-for-20 with runners in scoring position the last three games and 2-for-30 during the series.
Buschwacked: Michael Busch recorded a game-high three RBI Saturday night with a two-run homer and a bases-loaded walk. It was his sixth game with OKC this season recording three or more RBI...In his first two games since his most recent option to Triple-A, Busch is 3-for-9 with two-extra base hits, five RBI and three walks. In his last 11 games with OKC, Busch is 20-for-45 (.444) with 13 extra-base hits, 20 RBI and six multi-hit games...Overall in Triple-A this season, he is slashing .314/.432/.551 with 26 XBH, 43 RBI and 41 runs scored in 47 games.
In the Hunt: Hunter Feduccia registered a fourth straight multi-hit game Saturday after he went 2-for-4 with a double, walk and two runs scored. During the four-game stretch, Feduccia is 10-for-15 with five extra-base hits...He has hit safely in 10 of his last 11 games, going 21-for-39 (.538) with nine extra-base hits, eight RBI, 12 runs scored and nine walks. He has also reached base at least twice in 10 of his last 11 games, posting a .625 OBP (OB 30/48 PA). Thanks to the recent heater, he has raised his season batting average from .246 to .314...Feduccia has turned in eight multi-hit outings in his last 10 games, going 20-for-35 (.571)...Thursday was his second game this season with four-plus hits, as he joined Bryson Brigman as the second OKC player to accomplish that feat.
What a Mighty Good Mann: Last night, Devin Mann led all players with three hits, going 3-for-4 with a walk, RBI and two runs scored. He has hit safely in four straight games (7x17), as well as in six of his last seven games (11x30) and nine of his last 11 games (16x41)...Mann finished June slashing .388/.465/.753 with 33 hits, 27 RBI and 24 runs scored over 22 games. He notched seven doubles and eight homers. He finished tied for first in the PCL in extra-base hits, second in AVG, SLG and OPS (1.218), third in hits and RBI and tied for third in runs scored...He leads the PCL with 27 doubles this season and is tied for the second-most doubles in the Minors this season. He tied his career high in doubles in 66 games, which was originally set over 110 games with Double-A Tulsa in 2021...He leads the Dodgers in hits (77) and RBI (58), while his 39 extra-base hits are tied for second-most in the league, his 1.001 OPS is second, his .581 SLG is fourth and his 58 RBI are tied for fourth.
Ten and Counting: David Freitas went 1-for-3 with a sacrifice fly and a walk Saturday night to extend his hitting streak to 10 games - the longest active hitting streak on the team and the third-longest active hitting streak in the PCL. He is 12-for-41 (.293) during the streak with seven RBI and seven runs scored. This is his longest hitting streak since the 2019 season when he hit safely in 12 straight games with Triple-A San Antonio Aug. 3-16, 2019...Overall with OKC this season, Freitas has hit safely in 12 of his 13 games, batting .306 (15x49) with two homers, 13 RBI and nine runs.
Early Birds: During the current series, the Dodgers are batting .421 (32x76) with 23 runs scored through the first four innings (16 innings total). However, in the fifth through ninth innings, the team is batting .208 (15x72) with three runs scored (20 total innings)...Going back to Sunday vs. Las Vegas, the team has scored 28 runs between the first and fourth innings, but just four runs after the fourth.
Around the Horn: Bryson Brigman went 1-for-4 with two RBI last night. Over his last 11 games, Brigman is 18-for-43 (.419) with a home run, four doubles, 14 RBI and five multi-hit games...Drew Avans reached base four times last night for a second straight game with a double, two walks and a hit by pitch. He has three hits, four walks and a hit by pitch over the last two games with four runs scored. Over the last five games, he is 7-for-19 with six walks, eight runs scored and four stolen bases...Jimmy Nelson continued his Major League Rehab Assignment Saturday and pitched the seventh inning. He allowed two runs and one hit, with one walk, one hit batter and one strikeout. He gave up his first homer at any level since Sept. 13, 2019 while with the Milwaukee Brewers.
