Today's Game: The Oklahoma City Dodgers have won three straight games and try for their fourth series sweep of the season when they close out their three-game road set against the Salt Lake Bees at 8:05 p.m. Central at Smith's Ballpark. The Dodgers are in the midst of a seven-game road trip against Pacific Conference opponents and are 17-7 over the last 24 games.

Last Game: Starting pitcher Daniel Corcino dealt six scoreless innings and the Dodgers tallied 12 hits in a 5-3 win over Salt Lake Wednesday night at Smith's Ballpark. Corcino (8-4) did not yield a run and scattered three hits, earning his team-leading eighth win of the season. He finished with three walks and four strikeouts and limited Salt Lake 0-for-9 with runners on base. The Dodgers broke a scoreless tie in the fifth inning with a two-out RBI single by Gavin Lux. In the seventh, the Dodgers scored twice to make it 3-0. With runners at first and second base and none out, Austin Barnes hit an infield single and Salt Lake third baseman Kaleb Cowart committed a throwing error, allowing Drew Jackson to score. Edwin Ríos followed with a sacrifice fly to give OKC a three-run edge. The Bees jump-started their offense in the eighth. Salt Lake loaded the bases with one out and Jarrett Parker sent a broken bat flare into shallow right field to score two runs and move the tying run into scoring position. The Bees had runners at second and third base with two outs, but Dodgers reliever Josh Sborz induced a flyout by Josh Thole to end the inning. The Dodgers got some breathing room in the ninth. With two outs, Kyle Garlick ripped a RBI double and Connor Joe followed with a RBI single to make it 5-2. Taylor Ward led off the bottom of the ninth with a solo home run, but Dodgers closer Kevin Quackenbush retired the next three batters to end the game and earn his ninth save. Bees starting pitcher Nick Tropeano (2-5) allowed just one run and four hits with eight strikeouts over five innings, but ended up with the loss.

Today's Probable Pitcher: Dennis Santana (4-8) is set to make his team-leading 17th start of the season...In his last outing, Santana allowed eight runs (seven earned) and seven hits over 5.0 innings July 27 against Memphis in OKC, marking the fourth time in his last nine games he gave up eight or more runs. He issued two walks and recorded six strikeouts in the loss...After posting a 1.88 WHIP and .302 opponent average before the All-Star Break, Santana has a 1.18 WHIP and .240 BAA over his first three games out of the break...He's notched 74 strikeouts over 70.1 innings with OKC...Santana began the 2018 season with Double-A Tulsa before making his first career start with OKC May 19, 2018 and his Major League debut on June 1. However, a right rotator cuff strain sent him to the 60-day Disabled List June 9...Santana entered 2019 ranked as the Dodgers' No. 7 prospect, according to Baseball America...He originally signed as a shortstop as an international free agent in March 2013 at the age of 16 and converted to pitching in 2014...Tonight is his first career appearance against Salt Lake.

Against the Bees: 2019: 2-0 2018: 2-1 All-time: 52-49 At SL: 23-27

The Dodgers and Bees are meeting for their lone series of the season and playing at Smith's Ballpark for the first time since 2017...Since OKC became affiliated with the Dodgers, the team owns a 13-4 advantage against the Bees, the Triple-A affiliate of the Angels, in the PCL's version of the Freeway Series. The Dodgers enter tonight having won seven of the last eight meetings overall and five straight in Salt Lake...The Dodgers have won four straight season series and have not lost a season series against the Bees since going 1-3 in 2013 in OKC...The Dodgers won the 2018 series, 2-1, losing the series opener at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark before winning the final two games by a combined score of 10-2...The Dodgers went 3-1 against the Bees the last time the teams met at Smith's Ballpark in 2017...Salt Lake catcher Josh Thole spent time with OKC earlier this season prior to a trade July 12. Last night's opposing starting pitcher, Nick Tropeano, spent the majority of 2014 with OKC and led the PCL with a 3.03 ERA that season.

Goodbye, July: The Dodgers wrapped up their best month of the season with three straight wins, going 17-10 in July, tying them with three other teams for most wins in the PCL. The Dodgers led the league with 206 runs and ranked second in homers (62), walks (126), OBP (.388) and SLG (.579). The pitching staff ranked tied for second in strikeouts (249) and third with a .260 opponent batting average.

Luxury Tax: Gavin Lux's RBI single Wednesday extended his current hitting streak to eight games (13x33), as he has now reached base safely in each of his first 25 Triple-A games while hitting safely in 24 of those games...Since joining OKC June 27, Lux is batting .457 (48x105) with a .537 OBP, .876 SLG and 1.413 OPS. The shortstop has 14 multi-hit games, 24 extra-base hits, 28 RBI and 35 runs scored. During that time, Lux's OPS, AVG, OBP, hits and runs scored are either the best or tied for the best among all players in the domestic Minors or Majors, while his SLG ranks second...The 21-year-old also leads Dodgers full-season minor leaguers with a .354 AVG and 129 hits.

Dinger Details: The Dodgers were held without a home run last night for just the second time in the last 22 games and just the fourth time in the month of July. Over the last 22 games, the Dodgers have racked up 55 homers and hit the second-most homers in all of professional baseball during July (62), trailing only fellow PCL team Las Vegas (65). The Dodgers homered in 16 consecutive games July 5-24 - the second-longest streak in team history since OKC rejoined the PCL in 1998 and longest since 1999. During the streak, the Dodgers hit an incredible 43 homers, including 26 over the final six games...The Dodgers have recorded multi-homer outings in 12 of the last 15 games (46 HR), going deep three or more times in eight of the last 12 games and in nine of the last 14 games...On the other hand, the OKC pitching staff has allowed at least one homer in 11 of the last 12 games (22 HR).

Steady Eddie: Edwin Ríos went 2-for-3 with a double and RBI last night to extend his hitting streak to nine games, going 14-for-33 (.424) with 10 extra-base hits, six homers, 14 RBI, nine walks and 13 runs. With a hit tonight, he would tie his season-best 10-game hitting streak, set May 28-June 8...Ríos has walked five times in the first two games of the current series and drew 13 walks in 18 games during July after walking just 19 times over 70 games between April-June...In 17 games since the All-Star Break, Ríos is slashing .314/.425/.786 with nine homers and 20 RBI.

Go DJ, That's My DJ: DJ Peters has hit safely in five straight games and scored a run in 11 of his last 12 games as he has reached base in each of his first 30 Triple-A games. He is slashing .342/.458/.728 so far with OKC and owns the longest current on-base streak in the PCL and sixth-longest in the league overall this season. Including his time with Double-A Tulsa, Peters has reached base in 43 straight games...Since joining OKC June 27, Peters is tied for second in the league with 12 homers and ranks third with 31 RBI. He also ranks fourth with 83 total bases and 30 runs scored, tied for fourth with 20 walks, fifth with a 1.186 OPS, sixth with a .728 SLG and tied for sixth with 19 extra-base hits.

CoJo's Bite: Connor Joe extended his hitting streak to a season-best 10 games last night and has gone 16-for-44 (.364) with seven extra-base hits and 12 RBI. It's his longest hitting streak since a 12-game stretch April 18-May 7, 2017 with Double-A Altoona. Joe has also hit safely in 13 of the last 14 games (20x59)...Over the last 30 games, Joe is batting .363 (41x113) with nine homers, 10 doubles, a triple, 32 RBI, 34 runs scored and 25 walks. Since June 27, Joe leads the PCL with 25 walks, is second with 34 runs and 32 RBI, third with a .483 OBP and tied for fourth with 20 extra-base hits.

Around the Horn: OKC is 3-2 this season when aiming for a series sweep...Over the last 12 games, the Dodgers have batted .323 (144x446) with 117 runs, 34 homers and 61 extra-base hits...Last night, Kyle Garlick collected his ninth multi-hit game since returning to OKC July 11, including a RBI double. Garlick is batting .385 (25x65) with seven homers, 16 extra-base hits, 14 RBI and 18 runs scored over 19 games...The Dodgers are 9-7 against Pacific Conference opponents this season, including 7-2 on the road...The Dodgers are 21-9 with a +95 run differential over their last 30 road games.
