Today's Game: After sweeping the Iowa Cubs in a five-game series at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark, the Oklahoma City Dodgers open a four-game road series against the Memphis Redbirds at 6:35 p.m. at AutoZone Park. Tonight's matchup features two of the four teams across Minor League Baseball that have notched 17 or more wins.

Last Game: The Dodgers scored five unanswered runs to overcome an early three-run deficit on the way to a 5-3 win against Iowa Sunday afternoon to remain undefeated at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark. The I-Cubs scored the first run of the day on a RBI single by Taylor Davis in the first inning. A two-run homer to center field by Ryan Court extended the I-Cubs' lead to 3-0 in the second inning. OKC's comeback started in the third inning. Breyvic Valera homered over the tall wall in right field to drive in OKC's first two runs of the game. Cael Brockmeyer led off the fifth with a single before pinch hitter Alex Burg doubled down the left field line to bring him home to tie the game, 3-3. Valera's RBI knock into right field later in the inning put the Dodgers in front, 4-3. The Dodgers added a run on a bloop RBI single by Burg in the sixth inning to extend to a 5-3 lead. Iowa loaded the bases with no outs in the top of the ninth inning following two singles and an error. Dodgers pitcher Brian Schlitter then struck out Jacob Hannemann and got Court to hit into a game-ending double play for his fifth save. Dodgers lefty Manny Bañuelos (3-0) made his fifth start of the season and picked up the win, allowing a season-high three runs and seven hits over 5.0 innings. He did not issue a walk and recorded six strikeouts. Iowa starting pitcher Alec Mills (0-4) was charged with the loss.

Today's Probable Pitcher: Daniel Corcino (1-0) makes a spot start for the Dodgers tonight in place of the recently recalled Brock Stewart...Corcino has made three relief appearances for OKC, including a season-high 3.1 innings of long relief last time out April 25 against Iowa at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark. He earned his first win, allowing two runs and three hits and racking up a season-high five strikeouts...Although opponents are batting just .182, Corcino has issued seven walks over 6.1 IP...He has also made four appearances with Double-A Tulsa this season, going 1-1 with one save, allowing five runs (three earned) and seven hits over 7.2 innings with nine strikeouts and one walk...He split the 2017 season between High-A Rancho Cucamonga, Double-A Tulsa and Double-A Tennessee in the Chicago Cubs organization. He was released by the Cubs April 27, 2017 and signed by the Dodgers May 11, 2017...Corcino made his MLB debut Aug. 26, 2014 for Cincinnati against Chicago (NL) and compiled 18.2 innings in five appearances (three starts) in the Major Leagues, all in 2014...He was originally signed as an amateur free agent by the Cincinnati Reds Jan. 11, 2008...Tonight is his first career appearance against the Redbirds and his first start since April 24, 2017 while with Double-A Tennessee.

Against the Redbirds: 2018: 0-0 2017: 8-7 All-time: 168-151 At MEM: 73-88

The Dodgers and the defending PCL champion Redbirds meet for their first series of 2018...The Dodgers won the 2017 series, 8-7, and have won five consecutive season series against Memphis. OKC has not lost a season series to the Redbirds since 2011...The Dodgers were the only team in the PCL last season to have winning record against the 91-win Redbirds...The teams last met July 17-20 in OKC, splitting a four-game series...OKC went 4-3 at AutoZone Park in 2017 and has finished with a winning record in Memphis each of the past five seasons, going 25-14 over that span...Alex Verdugo paced OKC with 18 hits in the 2017 series, while O'Koyea Dickson racked up 10 RBI and four home runs...Memphis outscored OKC, 58-56, and outhit the Dodgers, 129-111, in their 15 meetings combined last season.

Head Start: The Dodgers have won 17 of their first 21 games of the season and their 17-4 record is the team's best-ever start through 21 games since rejoining the PCL in 1998. A win tonight would tie the team's record for most victories in April set in 2008, however that team played five more games in the season's opening month and went 18-9...The Dodgers are one of four teams across the Minors with at least 17 wins, while their .810 winning percentage paces the Minors. The only team with 18 wins is the High-A Jupiter Hammerheads (Marlins)...The Dodgers won nine straight games April 7-17, marking the team's fifth winning streak of at least nine games since rejoining the PCL in 1998...The Dodgers are the only team in pro baseball still undefeated at home and their 12-0 record at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark is best start in OKC since the ballpark opened in 1998. The team's previous best start was 5-0 in 2006...Yesterday OKC completed its second-ever five-game series sweep. The RedHawks took five straight from Albuquerque Aug. 16-20, 2013 to finish a club-record 17-game home win streak.

On the Road Again: The Dodgers enter today with a 5-4 road record, and through the season's first 21 games, there have been some drastic home-road splits at the plate. At home, the Dodgers have slashed .341/.413/.499 while averaging 7.1 runs per game and 11.8 hits per game. Away from OKC, the slashline drops to .238/.307/.361, and the team averages 3.8 runs per game and 8.0 hits per game.

It IS How You Start: Yesterday marked just the second time all season a Dodgers starting pitcher allowed more than two runs and the first time since Brock Stewart gave up three runs over 5.2 innings April 13 vs. New Orleans. Starting pitchers have combined to go 7-0 with a 2.16 ERA (23 ER/96.0 IP) while holding opponents to a .226 batting average (80x354) over the first 21 games. The rotation has also totaled 91 strikeouts against 23 walks, resulting in a 3.96/1 strikeout-to-walk ratio...However, there have only been two starts of 6.0 innings, and entering today, the starting rotation has barely thrown more innings (96.0) than the bullpen (91.1).

Mound Men: The Dodgers enter today with a league-leading 2.59 ERA. Sunday marked the ninth straight game the Dodgers have held their opponent to three or fewer runs and marked the 15th time they've done so this season. OKC has allowed just 19 total runs over its last nine games. During that time, opponents have batted .205 (59x287), including 6-for-47 (.128) with runners in scoring position...Over the last five games, the Dodgers bullpen covered 24.1 innings, but held Iowa to three runs while going 12-for-86 (.140) with 28 strikeouts and two walks...Sunday was OKC's 10th game with 10-plus strikeouts, and the team has issued just one walk over the last 33 innings while racking up 35 strikeouts during the same span...The Dodgers have allowed only one extra-base hit in 10 of the team's 21 games, and including yesterday, the team has allowed exactly one extra-base hit in each of the last four games.

Middle Infield Mashers: Breyvic Valera hit a two-run homer Sunday and finished the day 2-for-4 with a season-best three RBI. He homered for the second time this season and for the second time in the last four games. Last season while playing for Memphis, he did not hit his first homer of the season until June 25 at Omaha. Valera ranks fifth in the PCL with a .373 average to go along with 14 RBI and 13 runs scored...On the other side of the keystone, Donovan Solano leads the Dodgers with 27 hits and nine multi-hit games. His .388 batting average is third-best in the PCL. The shortstop is batting .431 (25x58) over his last 14 outings.
