Oilers Coat Drive, Teddy Bear Toss this Week

Easing Up: After a stretch of four games in five nights last week (and seven games over the last 10 days), the schedule eases somewhat for the Tulsa Oilers this week with two games at the BOK Center. They host the Mississippi RiverKings Friday at 7:35 p.m. and the Missouri Mavericks Saturday at 7:35 p.m. Both games can accessed via the internet at www.tulsaoilers.com and CHL TV.

Coats: Friday night the Oilers team up with KOTV, the News on 6 to present the Coats for Kids Drive, presented by Drysdale's. Fans who bring a gently worn coat to be donated will receive a voucher good for a free ticket to a future Tuesday night game.

Bears: Saturday it will be the KTUL News Channel 8, Teddy Bear Toss, presented by Warren Clinic Orthopedic Surgery and Sports Medicine. Fans who bring a Teddy Bear (or other stuffed animal) will receive a voucher for a free ticket to a future Tuesday game with the purchase of a ticket. When the Oilers score their first goal against Missouri, fans will toss the teddy bears onto the ice. The bears will be collected and donated to the Salvation Army.

Hot Stuff: The Oilers won three of their four games last week, including their first shutout in 73 games, a 3-0 win over the quad City Mallards in the first meeting ever between the two teams. The Oilers had their biggest offensive output and largest margin of victory in a 7-2 win over Mississippi Thanksgiving night. The lone setback was a 6-2 loss to Bossier-Shreveport but the Oilers rebounded with a 6-3 road win at Evansville in the first ever meeting between the Oilers and IceMen.
