QUACK TRACKS

Dip

The Mallards have lost four straight games- the Flock's longest losing streak of the season. The Mallards have been outscored 17-9 in their last four games. The downturn follows a four-game winning streak.

The Grind The Mallards last Saturday night finished a stretch of seven games in nine nights with a record of 3-4-0.

Narrow Margin

Each of the Mallards' last two games and ten of their first 17 outings have been decided by one goal.

Blanked

The Mallards last Tuesday in Tulsa were shut out for the first time this season.

On the Road

The Mallards last Saturday night started a stretch that will see them play five straight road games. The Flock has lost its last three road tilts.

Special Teams The Mallards gave up three power play goals in each of their two games against Fort Wayne last weekend and went 9-for-15 on the penalty kill in total over their three games last weekend. On the season the Flock ranks eleventh in the league in penalty killing (80.8 percent) and thirteenth on the power play (16.5 percent).

Rollin'

Mike McLean (8-11-19) and Obi Aduba (6-11-17) saw their respective seven game point scoring streaks (6-7-13 for McLean and 5-6-11 for Aduba) halted last Tuesday against Tulsa, but both rebounded with productive weekends. Center McLean scored two goals and totaled five points in the Mallards' three games last weekend while left wing Aduba scored once and recorded five points in those three outings. Tyler Shelast has scored two goals

Streak Stopped

Goaltender Adam Russo last Friday night in Fort Wayne suffered his first loss as a Mallard after winning his first four starts with the club.

Firsts

Rookie left wing Phil Axtell scored his first career goal last Saturday in Fort Wayne. Center/left wing Mark Ehl recorded his first career point- an assist- last Thursday against Fort Wayne.

Ins and Outs

The Mallards last Saturday activated left wing Phil Axtell (knee) and defenseman Bobby Preece (knee) from injured reserve and waived center/left wing Mark Ehl. Last Tuesday the Mallards traded left wing Patrik Levesque to Mississippi in exchange for future considerations and activated Ehl (back) from injured reserve.

Riding the Rapids The Mallards this weekend meet the reigning CHL President's Cup champion Rapid City Rush for the first time. The Rush was winless (0-2-1) in three games last week and was shut out in back-to-back games- by Colorado last Wednesday and by Odessa last Friday. Rapid City's Ryan Menei (12-9-21) is tied for third in the league in goals.

Fans attending the December 12 game will also have the chance to join their favorite Mallards on the ice for a postgame skate.

TRIVIA NIGHT Tuesday, December 7, 6:30 p.m.- The Lodge, Bettendorf

The Mallards will host a trivia night at the Lodge in Bettendorf on Tuesday, December 7 at 6:30 p.m. Fans are invited to join Mallards players- one of whom will be seated at each table- for an evening of brain-teasing fun with prizes going to the winning table. Seats for trivia night are available for $20; a full table for eight can be had for $100. Appetizers and non-alcoholic beverages are included. In addition, a cash bar, featuring Mallards themed drinks, will also be available. Those attending must be at least 16 years of age. To reserve seats or table for trivia night, fans can call the Mallards at 309-277-1364.

Single Game Tickets

Tickets for all Mallards regular season home games are available in person at the i wireless Center box office, at Ticketmaster outlets, through www.ticketmaster.com or through Ticketmaster charge-by-phone toll free at 1-800-745-3000. The ticket office is open Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2:00

p.m. and on game days other than Sunday from 10:00 a.m. until the end of the first period. On Sundays on which the Mallards play at home the ticket office will be open from 1:00 p.m. until the end of the first period.

Group Tickets Groups of at least ten can receive savings off the walk-up price and a host of other great group benefits when purchasing Mallards tickets. Between the Pipes

"Between the Pipes," the Mallards' weekly television show, has returned on Mediacom's MC22 channel for the 2010-11 season. New editions of "Between the Pipes" air each Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. and are rebroadcast several times each week. Full weekly listings of "Between the Pipes" broadcast times can be found throughout the season on MC22's website, www.mc22.net. The program features a condensed version of the Mallards' Game of the Week interspersed with interviews with Mallards Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Frank Anzalone and Mallards players, updates on the Mallards' activities in the community and more.
