Oilers Can't Hold Leads, Fall to Mississippi, 6-4
November 22, 2008 - Central Hockey League (CHL) - Tulsa Oilers News Release
The teeter-totter didn't teeter the Oilers way and they tottered to their second straight loss to the Mississippi RiverKings, 6-4 Friday night at the BOK Center.
The game saw the Oilers with leads of 2-1, 3-2 and 4-3, but they were unable to expand to a two goal lead, and Mississippi benefited from three power play goals and a short handed goal.
Starting goaltender Kevin St. Pierre left the game after the first period and Oiler coach Dan Hodge reported it was due to a slightly bruised knee, and not suspected to be too serious at this point.
Jeff Christian, Mike Beausoleil, Jake Riddle, and Kai Magnussen had the Oiler goals. Matt Summers scored twice, Jeff Alcombrack (also added three assists), Louis Dumont, Bobby Chaumont, and former Oiler Andrew Lackner scored for Mississippi.
The Oilers play at Texas Saturday at 7:05 p.m. The can be heard on the internet via www.tulsaoilers.com
