
Jacks Continue to Enjoy Road, Win 3-2

(Hidalgo, TX) - The road continues to be a friendly place for the Odessa Jackalopes who picked up a 3-2 win at Dodge Arena over the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees thanks to Russ Moyer's two goals.
Zak McClellan scored a short handed tally at 15:39 of the third period to pull the Bees to within one, but the Jacks were able to hold on as Juha Toivonen stopped 27 of 29 shots in net.
Kory Karlander was the other goal scorer for Odessa with a power play goal at 18:16 of the second period to make it a 3-1 Jacks lead. Russ Moyer scored at the end of the first period on a penalty shot to tie the game, and then put the Jacks ahead with a power play goal at 16:32 of the second period.
The Jacks will travel to Corpus Christi on Wednesday to face the IceRays for the first this season at the American Bank Center. The puck drops at 7:05 PM and the game can be heard on 97 Gold.
