Edmonton Oil Kings News Release

Regina, SK - Dylan Wruck tallied the lone Oil Kings goal as Edmonton fell 4-1 to the Pats on Friday night in Regina. Regina tallied early and held the lead on the strength of a first star performance by goaltender Matt Hewitt as the Oil Kings out shot the Pats 39-28.

Wruck's goal was his tenth point in his last six games while Michael St.Croix's helper extended his current point scoring streak to eight games. St. Croix has totaled three goals and nine assists over that span. The Oil Kings Power play was 0 for 3 on the night while the penalty kill struggled allowing the battalion 2 for 4. Chandler Stephenson, Andrew Rieder and Dominik Volek all tallied for the Pats while Lane Scheidl added an empty netter. Laurent Brossoit had 24 saves in the loss.

Next up the Oil Kings will continue this short East Division run tomorrow in Brandon as they take on the Wheaties. Puck drop is set for 630PM MT - a reminder that all games this season will be broadcast live on the TEAM 1260 and streamed live at WHL.ca.
