Regina Pats News Release
Regina, Sask. - The Edmonton Oil Kings defeated the Regina Pats 6-1 on Wednesday inside the Brandt Centre.
The Oil Kings got goals from six different players and points from 11 different players, as Gavin Hodnett tallied two assists for Edmonton's only multi-point game. They scored two in the first and four in the second period, snapping their three-game losing-streak.
Regina's only goal came from Tanner Howe. Tonight's game marked the final home game in the month of November as the Pats begin a five-game road swing on Friday in Swift Current.
THEY SAID IT
"It's an unacceptable performance from our group in all aspects of the game. Our special teams weren't good enough, our five-on-five play and the details were nowhere to be seen. Our second efforts were hard to come by tonight. We got punched in the gut and deservedly so. I don't know if we will be flushing this one. We will be utilizing it as a teaching moment for our club and make sure there is maturity coming out of this game tonight. We will rectify it so it doesn't happen again." - Assistant Coach Evan McFeeters
FINAL SCORE: Oil Kings 6, Pats 1
