Crestwood, IL - 11 batters came to the dish for the Ohio Valley Redcoats in the 7th inning and 6 scored as the ThunderBolts were tripped up for the 1st time in 4 games at Hawkinson Ford Field Saturday night. Ohio Valley stopped Windy City 13-8.

The Bolts snatched a 2-run edge in the 1st as Justin Schuda deposited a 3-2 pitch from starter Dennis LeDuc over the right field fence. The two-run shot was Schuda's team-leading 14th dinger of the season. In the top of the next frame, the Redcoats got to starter Scott Anderson for a pair. Catcher Miles Page volleyed an RBI double and later scored on an error by Doug Schutt to even the game.

Neither team scored until the 6th when Ohio Valley smacked a pair of homers against Anderson. Mendoza stroked a 2-run shot and 3 batters later Patrcik Sadler thumped a solo shot. Anderson left after that frame and was relieved by Justin Roelle. 2 Ohio Valley players earned walks in the 7th, one was hit and 5 recorded base knocks. 6 runs came across to make the score 11-4. Center fielder Jason Boyd made 2 of the 3 outs.

Windy City's Nick Ewen clobbered a 2-run double in the 8th and 4 runs were plated in the 9th thanks to a 2-run two bagger from Clemente Bonilla and a Doug Schutt RBI single. Jason Crosland added a sacrifice fly to round out the scoring.

After Roelle was finished at the conclusion of 2 innings, infielder Scott Vetter faced 6 batters. He terminated the first two, but then walked the next duo. Travis Garcia stroked a 2-run double to tally the final runs for the Redcoats. It's the 3rd time Vetter has taken to the bump in the last 2 weeks.

The Bolts are now 0-11 on Sundays and Dennis LeDuc achieved his first victory of the season in his first professional start.
